How to Be A Leader and NOT be Overwhelmed!

It’s hard to lead other extremes when you can’t lead yourself.

Is anxiety stealing your joyful spirit? Here’s the raw truth: Many of us invite certain emotions and feelings into our lives without knowing it. And negative ideas and beliefs can take root.

These destructive beliefs are not true. But we tend to believe worst-case scenarios. In this blog, I am going to show you how to stop entertaining undesirable emotions.

Especially the feeling of being overwhelmed!

Luckily, I can help you with this.

I don’t remember the last time I felt overwhelmed. To be able to say that is pretty awesome. And before I made specific changes, I would let those feelings control me.

Example: Last week I did three events back to back. Those events would have wrecked me at an earlier time! We did pretty much one right after the other. And you know what? I feel great.

So much so that we just added 10 more events to my calendar.

We’re going to go all in this year . . . and it is not at the expense of my family. It’s not at the cost of me being a great mother or wife or friend.

Listen, I know you.

  • You’re not that different from me.
  • You likely want to grow your impact, which warms your heart.
  • I know you need to be present for the people who matter. And I appreciate you don’t want to feel resentful when somebody says, “Let’s go out for dinner” or “Let’s go for a walk at the local park.”

And if you feel like you can’t say yes to ANY new activity, then please read this entire message.

Because I wrote it for you, OK? Listen, I know how you might be feeling right now. Just reading this is putting pressure on your TIME TO GET STUFF DONE.

So let’s change that, shall we?

I want you to revive your heart. Encourage your soul and put the pep back in your step. Without feeling guilt. Shame. Accusation and doubts.

Those are unbearable feelings!

And it’s time for them to STOP.

And listen, I’m just like you.

I used to think that even fun activities would take away from my happiness. Or impact my “to-do list.”

“This will overwhelm me further than I already am. This activity will DEFEAT me.” Those are the thoughts I was putting into my mind! And this was about me having FUN and not doing any work. Are you in the same boat I was?
