She was 46 years old and had been a hard working loyal corporate employee for 14 long years. She had slogged up the ladder to middle management, with the promise of a bright corporate future.
On one seemingly ordinary day her life path took a small change in direction that eventually led her far from where corporate future.
Upon arriving at office she was greeted by a memo announcing that her boss was being transferred and his position had been filled by a new, younger version who happened to be at the right place at the right time.
Here’s the thing, the company had promised this would be her next “big promotion” … the carrot on a stick.
A carrot she had been chasing for nearly a DECADE!
At that moment, in a blinding flash of the obvious, she realized she had become another corporate robot.
